See issue previews with peek and use filters in Inbox

Go to the Inbox from any view with G then I. Press the Spacebar when focuses on an issue to see a preview of the issue. Use Cmd/Ctrl F to search your Inbox for specific notifications by user type, issue ID or issue title.

Build a favorites list

Add items to favorites for quick access in the sidebar.

Set a default home view

Choose which view opens whenever you open Linear. Custom views you've created will show up as options, too.

Use shortcuts to navigate to common views

We use the schema G then key to go to a view or O then key when you need to select it from a list. This might not seem that important but try it once, we promise, it will save you tons of time.
For Individual contributors:
G then I to go to Inbox
G then M to go to My Issues
G then V to go to the active cycle
O then F to open a favorite
O then P to open a project
O then M to open my profile
For Managers:
Too many to list, type ? then view navigation to find the ones you use most.
G then B to go to the team's backlog
G then D to go to team's board
G then U to go to custom views

Reference other issues in descriptions or comments with #

Type # followed by the issue ID or title to search and link an existing issue. To add related issues, use the M then Key shortcuts:
M then B to mark blocked
M then X to mark blocking
M then R to mark as related
M then D to mark as duplicate
M then M to merge duplicate in

Save frequent filters as custom views

We have a powerful filters feature that lets you quickly filter down list and board views to show you only the issues you want to see. Save filtered lists as custom views to access them easily.
  • F to filter, Shift F to remove the filter and Shift Cmd/Ctrl F to remove all filters.
  • Create a custom view from a filtered list with Option/Alt V
  • G then V to go to Views

Sort, group and customize appearance with View Options

On any view, customize what information you see, ordering, grouping and more with View Options. View Options are also available for Inbox, Roadmap, and Projects.

Go to My issues with G then M. We customize this list based on what we think you'll want to work on first: Blocking issues, then issues in active cycles, then active issues, then backlog items. You can also find issues you've previously created and manage subscriptions.
